The ancient column is often considered a classical design showing strength and history. You will see columns used in the design of churches, government buildings and banks over thousands of years. I find it thought provoking to see these modern sculptures of a classical ancient column tumbling in the courtyard of the Washington Mutual building in Seattle. Need I say more?
